It was a raIt was a rainy Saturday, with little to no weather improvements in sight, when I hit the road to Kufstein. Being a wedding photographer you learn pretty soon that there is no bad weather, you just have to adapt to the situation. So what the heck, they say it brings luck when it rains on the bride’s veil. At the end of the day it is the mood and feeling that makes the day special and not the weather anyway.

Julia and Stefan’s wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful hall of the Kufstein registry office. Accompanied by their two kids, their best man, maid of honor and their families, they said yes.

Bridal couple shoot in the rain, when the wedding photographer gets wet

The bridal couple had already chosen a place for the shooting; on the way to the Stallhäusl we took a stop to take the wedding photos. So together with the kids, the best man and maid of honor, we set off. It was pouring but not even that could stop us. Umbrellas were ready and the weather actually made the pictures and moments more special since not everyone can say that they had a shooting in the pouring rain. Julia had also brought rubber boots for this!
We did not have a rain-free minute, but we defied it and had a lot of fun shooting, even though I myself was wet to the skin!

The path then led us to Stallhäusl, where the rest of the family was already waiting for us to celebrate this day together with the happy couple. After a nice reception, we actually wanted to take the family photos, but it was time to wait again, since it just started pouring heavily. After dinner, we were finally able to take the pictures with the whole family that turned out beautifully.

This day can be described as absolutely special and precisely because of the continuous rain. We had such special pictures taken and the couple had a wonderful day with their loved ones.
